1967 Commenced training Judo
1969 Commenced training Karate Do
1971 Commenced training with Gary Spiers Sensei in Goju Kai Karate Do (a direct student of Master Gogen Yamaguchi)
1978 Awarded Sho Dan (1st Dan)
1979-1981 Trained with Morio Higaonna, Teruo Chinen Sensei at seminars in the UK
1986 Became members of the Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do Kyokai
1989 My first of many trips to Okinawa for intensive training at the Jundokan under Masters Eiichi Miyazato, Ted Yasuda and others. Awarded the rank of San Dan (3rd Dan)
1997 Assigned the title of “Shibucho”. Chief Instructor for the United Kingdom by Master Eiichi Miyazato in Okinawa
1999 Awarded Renshi (6th Dan) by Master Eiichi Miyazato in Okinawa
2003 Awarded Kyoshi (7th Dan) by Master Koshin Iha in Okinawa,
2005 Assigned the title of “Shibucho” Chief Instructor for Lithuania
2013 Assigned the title of “Shibu”, Chief Instructor for Jundokan Russia, Lithuania, Tajikistan
2022 Awarded the rank of Hanshi (9th Dan) by the Masters in Okinawa
